Our name is derived from the Kiswahili word for girl, ``Msichana,`` our organization embodies the essence of nurturing and fostering the potential of every girl child across Uganda. While commendable strides have been made by the Government of Uganda in enhancing access to healthcare, education, and vocational skills, we understand that many girls still face formidable challenges on their path to success.
At Msichana Uganda, we are driven by the belief that empowerment begins with capacity building. Through a multifaceted approach encompassing training, exposure, hands-on skills development, and career guidance, we endeavour to reshape the narrative surrounding the development of girls, young women, and women in Uganda.

The vision of Msichana Uganda first took root in late 2017, born from a deep-seated commitment to championing the rights and empowerment of girls, young women, and women in Uganda. Fuelled by passion and a desire for meaningful change, our journey began with a simple yet powerful idea: to create a platform where the voices of girls and women could be heard and valued.
